| Christening | Although the IGI transcription gives Eliza's mother as Elizabeth, there are no other christenings in Hunmanby to a John and Elizabeth and an Eliza born circa 1839 appears as the daughter of John and Ann in the 1851 census. |

| Census (2) | I am 99% certain that this is the census return for John, father of William. His
profession of boot and shoe maker and residence in Hunmanby make it extremely
unlikely that there would be two such John's!
William's absence from the IGI transcription of the Hunmanby christening records is, however, puzzling and until documentary proof of his parentage is found I cannot be 100% certain that this Boyes family is related to William |
