Death Although the GRO index entry is for Dyke, not Dykes, and there is no obvious reason for Timothy ending up in South Wales, two factors make it almost certain that this is the index entry for our Timothy's death.

Firstly, there is no other alternative entry in the GRO index, this is the only potential match.

Secondly, there was no birth of a Timothy DYKE regsistered anywhere in England and Wales circa 1878.

The death certificate may prove the matter beyond doubt.
